Most individuals who enter our industry do so in quite the opposite manner than we did--they accumulate the service industry experience then open a retail store. We assembled the retail, corporate and business knowledge first, the industry knowledge second and then opened a retail store in 1986. This path allowed our family-owned business to professionalize and ‘polish’ our tarnished industry by offering excellence in customer service backed by a highly educated and trained team.
